Auto-Post to Facebook Fan page Instructional Video.

Here is a video showing the process of setting up Leenk.me to auto-post to our Facebook Fan Page. Please do not select “personal profile” as this will not post to your own profile, it will publish to Zoe Wiseman’s profile. You can always share the post on facebook by selecting “share” underneath the post on the Fan Page. Remember to click on the ARROW to expand the Leenk.me software so you can edit your Facebook Settings. Feel free to ask questions if you become stuck on something.

You will need to insert the API key: 4050943C2F5A1DB2D337A305

And remember to “SAVE SETTINGS” on any changes you make or nothing will happen.

And here is the video!

Image sizes

Images sizes site wide are limited to a maximum file size of 200k to keep the site from suffering severe overage charges. And to help us keep this site add free and to prevent you from paying for profiles. It’s not free, so please be understanding.

20 images are allotted for profile images in your album. If you want to upload more than 20 images to the site we suggest you start a blog, or update your images often.

Tags, What?

Tags are key words, descriptive words, which describe each of your blog posts. Search engines love them. Consider tag words as searches. A good way to drive a lot of traffic to your blog is to describe each post you make in detail. Hypothetically say I just made a post with some pictures. How would I go about describing them?

1. Camera used

2. model i worked with

3. film i used

4. lens i used

5. city, state, country i was in

6. did i shoot in black and white, or color?

7. describe the story in a few words separated by commas.. savannah, georgia, model, nikon, 300mm, 120, black and white, marsh, nude, fine, art, photographer, my, name, photograph, photo, nudes

Get it? Now when someone googles for marshy black and white nudes, you have a great chance of coming up on the front page of that search. And after you put in your tags, make sure to click on WIDGETS under appearance (i made a video for this one in an earlier post) and put it into the sidebar of your blog. Then each time you make a post your tag cloud accumulates key word after key word and google and every other search engine will start LOVING your website because it helps their bots do their jobs. It greatly improves your page ranking. If you look to the right of this blog you’ll see our tag cloud for this tutorial.

If you don’t put in any key words, the bots have a harder time working and will move on to easier websites that give them the information they need. They might come back to you later, or not.

Make sure you check out the key words I made for this post underneath the text.  VVVVVVV down there VVVVVVVV

Adding Video, Posts, Tags, Categories

This is how you add video, tags, posts and categories. I feel like Alice going down the Rabbit Hole, experiencing dejavu and I feel like I’ve been here before. Hopefully I’m posting the correct video. This is getting deep.

Hope you’re getting something out of it.

Adding Widgets, Twitter and Video!

This is how I added widgets and tweet this links below all posts on this blog. When people see the tweet this link, they can click it and send a link to their followers on Twitter. Widgets like “meta” and “tag clouds” add functionality to your blog so people can subscribe to your feed and so search engines pick up your blog faster and you rank higher in search engines.

I’m also recording this post so you can see what to do and the video will be posted after the widget tutorial and tweet this tutorial. Fun… I hope you are learning! :) Smiles!

Watch how I insert video! In the next post!

BASICS = This is How I created this blog

Please follow the mouse clicks and learn how I created this blog and changed the theme from the default ugly theme, to the funky iPhone theme. You can see it better on Vimeo – but you should be able to figure out where my mouse is rolling. I think.

Purposed Blogging

This blog is going to be instructional for how to optimize your blog to use this website to it’s full advantage. But, please don’t wait on instructions – click links, figure out what they do, how they work… explore, then what might be explained here will make so much more sense. There are quite a lot of features that are probably overwhelming many of you. But, if you don’t lose patience and actually give yourself some credit you can figure it out. I hope to feature some cool tips here so that working your way around the site doesn’t seem so cumbersome, and so that you start understanding that tag words, categories, rss feeds, twitter posts, facebook links and all this wonderful world of networking is all at your fingertips.

With only a couple of us who truly know how to utilize all the features this site has to offer using it to it’s full advantage, we are getting over one million hits a month. More like 1.4 million at the moment. Imagine if all of us came together and started using it to it’s full advantage and how that would effect your work, sales, exposure and notoriety.

I keep track of my rss feed daily. With a stats package that I’ve installed on the site that is available to all of you, which will be explained on another post. Just on my blog – not the entire website – over 1000 people are subscribed to my RSS feed. That means that my blog posts are delivered to their inbox as soon as they are published. I’ve noticed that a lot of blogs here haven’t enabled their RSS feed, so when they publish a post the only people who know about it are those who happen upon this website. Imagine if those people could click the RSS link on your blog and know about your post without even logging in here. See where I’m going?

I hope to use a new software I purchased that records what happens on my computer screen, including mouse clicks and any text I type into a blog, or post tags, or categories… etc. Hopefully this will help you figure out how to get search engines to respond to your blogs and to help get your work out there to a wider audience… without one of those “art killing” content warnings plastered on the front of your site.

More to come…

Zoe

  • Text Widget

This is a widget that you can grab and post to this sidebar by looking at the left side of the backend/dashboard, scrolling down until you see "Appearance" then click "widgets."

You can type anything you like here. Search engines pick this up when they send search bots to your site. So, you should probably say a little something about yourself here. Maybe list your home page, a short bio, a favorite quote... etc. Whatever you like.
